Referee—Herder

Our ever faithful herding dog, who loves to work with the sheep or guard the barn. Ref comes from a long line of herding dogs from the breeder Amanda Miliken. He is a pure bred border collie, don’t let the short hair fool you. Contact Ref if you would like more information on herding dogs.

Jade—Farm Hand

Although Jade is also a pure bred border collie she prefers to let Ref cover the job of herding. Jade can be found to be providing a helping paw with daily chores and especially enjoys any activity that involves a shovel, rake or wheelbarrow. Contact Jade for lots of licks and maybe a bark.

Patty & Selma—Mousers

These two sister were added to Bent Willow Farm in the summer of 2007 from a fellow farmer. Since they are barn cats and live in the barn they are very close to the sheep. In the winter they can frequently be found sleeping with or on a sheep for warmth.
